Workers only need to tap the barcode to barcode reader. When the data match, they continue their work. There is huge reduction in wrong production steps, which lead to very low bad batches.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">At the same time, as every tailor tap every time they get new shoe part, the number of their production is automatically counted. The data  is sent to management, who are now easily track the productivity of every tailor and reward these high-performers accordingly. This boost workers&#8217; morale and drive them to work faster and better.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A tobacco leaves processing company faced a tough challenge. As a company handling processing of raw tobacco leaves into ready goods, it has to classify tobacco leaves from numerous farmers and sources according to their source, their quality, and their buyer.</p>
<p>The production must run continuously as a stop will incur huge time and financial loss. Hence, the company must ensure that the operators pick up right crates of tobacco leaves, and deliver them at the right time to the production inlet. Sometimes, they pick up the wrong crates, and this risks the entire batch of production.</p>
<p>However, mistakes often happen as early as storing the crates, as operators carelessly place the crates at the wrong places, making them unsearchable. The huge size of the warehouse, few times bigger than football field, make the search almost impossible.</p>
<p>They need a system to ensure coming raw materials are placed at designated sites, so that they operators can pick them up quickly and correctly.</p>
<p>The same thing happens with finished goods. They risk delivering batches of finished goods to wrong customers, which will create distrust and financial loss.</p>

<p>The company receives fresh tobacco leaves of different grades from different suppliers. These batches are classified correctly, put into large crates, and wait for their time to enter processign machine. Each crate correlate to the intended customers. Any mistakes will risk ruining the products and derive customer&#8217;s complains. As such, every batch is tagged with unique 2D barcode that contains essential information. The information is stored at central database.</p>

<p>After the incoming batches are tagged, forklift operators deliver the crates to large warehouse and stack them at the intended plot. There are hundreds of such crates, so the company must be able to record correctly the storage plot of each crate.</p>
<p>The problem is this stage is plagued by human-error as the operators often place them at the wrong plot.</p>

As part of government social policy, different level of income group receive different level of government financial supports. Some are entitled to free treatment, some receive subsidized rate.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When they are seeking treatment, they need to show their medical card as the proof of their entitlement. In the past, the medical cards are issued manually, without linked to database. Validating the authenticity of cards as well as the identity of cardholders was a challenge, and it strained busy medics who were already occupied by the sheer number of patients.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The management team of a hospital in Indonesia wanted to improve the patient safety assurance and work productivity. They were concerned about the reports of medication transcription and admission errors that happened in many hospitals overseas. Even though incident was rare, the hospital would like to add an extra layer of safety within acceptable budget.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Noah and our partner presented various possible solutions to the management. One of the solutions implemented is the barcoded wristband for accurate patient identification.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Before implementation, identity verification at the point of care was done manually. Doctors and nurses who come to provide treatment, such as administering medication, had to verbally confirm patient’s name and date of birth.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">When a sick person is admitted, he/she will be assigned a unique barcode, which will be printed a comfortable, durable, waterproof barcoded wristband.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The barcode is especially designed for easy scan, and the wristband is made comfortable and non-obstructive to any medical action. At the same time, they are made durable so that doctors and nurses have high confident that they are not easily tear off or swapped.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, doctors and nurses just point their portable scanner on the wristband to identify each patient accurately, and ask some basic identification questions, when they are about to deliver a medical service, be it administering medicine or accessing medical test results.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This not only increases the patients’ trust, but also doctors’ confidence, as they are often not there when nurses delivered medication to the patients. They can be assured that right treatment is given to the right recipient.</p>
